Perineal plasty

The repair of the deformity or damage to the perineum is achieved by cutting the scars and supplying the damage with sutures, which are well tolerated by the human body. The result obtained is permanent by more than 90% of patients. The procedures require careful selection of the type of surgery and the use of the right surgical material individually for each patient.
TYPE OF ANESTHESIZE
The majority of anesthesia for this type of surgery is spinal, or general short intravenous anesthesia. These procedures last from 30 to 90 minutes. PREPARATION FOR THE TREATMENT
Preparation for the procedure depends mainly on the severity of the disease, the condition of the vagina and the extent of the planned surgery, as well as the patient’s age and other medical conditions. Standard preparation includes prophylaxis against infection and regulation of bowel movements. Cytological evaluation of the cervix, in justified cases vaginal cleanliness and urinalysis are part of the preoperative examinations evaluated by the qualifying physician.
RECONVALESCENCE AND RECOMMENDATIONS AFTER OPERATION
Swelling and discharge from surgical sites more or less severe often appear after surgery. Postoperative wound care consists of disinfection and drying with appropriate medications and dressings. A sparing lifestyle avoiding lifting and avoiding constipation is advisable. The patient can start intercourse after the vagina has healed, that is, 4- 6 weeks after the procedure, preferably after consultation with the doctor.
